This little toddler was SO adorable! I had brought out the teepee prior to their session, just as a chance they might like to use it. I’m so glad I did! Little man was perfect for the tent. Can you just melt seeing that little sweater and those jeans?
Toddler in a tent
I’m only a little biased. I’ve watched this “family” grow. I had the pleasure of being the wedding photographer for Jessica and Justin a few years back, and have been able to see this little man since he was only a few weeks old.
Toddlers can be a little challenge for family sessions, but when timed well, and handled well, a good photographer can get wonderful images. Timing is important, though, so it imperative that the family chat with the photographer so the time set for the session is good for the toddler’s best interest. If they are a morning kid, then morning it is!
It’s also good to note that most sessions with little ones do not last long…so they have to move quick if a family wants a lot of good options. If the photographer insists on spending a lot of time moving set ups or changing lights around, you might just lose that wee one’s interest. And it’s all downhill from there.
So be sure to find a photographer that can move quick, but still get great images because they aren’t worried or nervous about their lighting or camera settings. If it’s second nature to them HOW TO DO IT, they can do it whenever or where-ever…and then they can get images of a fast little wee one!
