Today Tommorrow Always – Wedding Photography

Today I will marry my friend…the one I will live with, laugh with…..love

Your day…your wedding day!  The day most little girls have dreamed about and planned in some way most of their lives.  Even the smallest of details is important on this day, and maybe it’s the smallest detail that is the most important.  Make sure the details you’ve planned for are covered and remembered.

I can’t wait to have a chance to meet you!

I am a full service wedding photographer.  What does that mean exactly?  Well, it means I didn’t just pick up my camera last week and it means I’ll still be here offering wedding services and portrait photographic services next year.  I have three years of “official” business and over 27+ years of photographic experiences to draw upon.  I myself have been married for 25 years, and have two grown children of my own.  I did not enter into this business lightly, and I do not take any aspect of my business lightly.  I’m a perfectionist, with myself and absolutely with my clients.  Deciding to offer weddings as part of my business was not a lightly made decision, as it is a commitment to the bride and groom and goes beyond a contract.  I know this is the most important day of your life so far, and I wanted to be fully capable of capturing your details of your day before I said I was a “wedding photographer”.  For me, this business is a long term commitment – that is why I put my name on it.

I shoot with a mixture of a photojournalistic and traditional style – so your wedding day will be captured in the most memorable way.  You will have formal portraits that are planned and posed, and also have the moments that you didn’t plan for – the looks, the loving touch, the tears and the smiles.  My goal is to capture your day in such a way that as you look back over your images on each upcoming anniversary you are captivated once again by the magic of your wedding day.

I start my planning process with each bride and groom by meeting them in person.  I encourage any parents who are involved in the planning process to attend that meeting.  We go over your details – and I want to hear everything!  Your colors, your flowers, your hopes and dreams for your day.  We go over my pricing and packages, and we find a plan that works for your day and your budget.  But the planning doesn’t end there - we stay in contact with each other and I encourage my couples to email me often and keep me up to date on changes, schedules, etc.  Two weeks before your wedding we touch base officially about your schedule once again to finalize the times of each activity to be photographed.  Everything is flexible, but we plan as best we can.

I go to your wedding and reception location prior to your wedding day to plan for lighting, angles, etc.  If you are having a church wedding, I meet with your church officials to plan what is allowed and what isn’t allowed in your venue**.

On your wedding day I will come with an assistant and fade into the background of your day.  The day is not about the photographer, it is about YOU.  But I will be ever present, and you will always know I’m there.

After your wedding is over, I will take approximately 2 weeks or less to give you a sneak peek of your wedding images – these will be presented on my blog, or even on Facebook if you desire.  Your full gallery is presented within 4 weeks of your wedding day (sometimes sooner) and will be completely overwhelming!  Most couples are not prepared for the number of images they will have, and therefore I do not put an exact number of images into any of my packages.   The average wedding (6 hours), though, will see at least 500 proof images, most will see more.

You will have two months to go over your proofs online and mark your favorites.  If you’ve purchased a package with a book, you will note the images you want in your book.  Wedding books are typically 40 pages, and can contain up to 150 images or more.  Your book may take up to four weeks to design once your images are selected, and you will be presented with a digital proof before your book is printed.

Couples these days are very interested in the digital images.   Many of your images will be presented in black and white, and all my black and whites are hand processed as I strongly feel there is no generic way to process for black and white.    The professional photographer comes out in me whenever I hand over digital files to a client, so I make sure that every image I give you I am proud to have you display, or print anywhere.

I offer my basic hourly rate, three packages, and add ons to make pricing your wedding photography simple.  If you don’t see something you know you want, or don’t understand the pricing, please ask.  I look forward to discussing with you why a full service photographer will make your day – and your photos- more memorable, and more meaningful.

All my brides and grooms who purchase a package will also receive a complimentary engagement session, either in studio or at a location* of your choosing.  This gives us another chance to get to know each other, and to catch up on your details as they change and evolve.  You can use these images for a portrait at your wedding, or plan to put together a guest book that your guests can sign and have a lasting momento of your session with built in advice from everyone who attends your wedding!
